Accurate appraisals are important because if your jewelry is ever damaged, lost or stolen, your insurance company will refer to the appraisal in order to settle the claim.  An outdated appraisal could result in your jewelry being under-insured, which could cost you in the end.

Market conditions are constantly changing, which means that the value of the gems and precious metals that make up your fine jewelry is continually fluctuating as well. This is why it is very important to keep current appraisals on all of your fine jewelry and watches. Whether it is an heirloom brooch from your Grandmother’s estate, to your beautiful wedding set that you wear every day, for your security and peace of mind, we recommend that your appraisals be updated at least every three (3) to five (5) years.
